Sustainability at Stage and Screen

There’s no getting around it – travel uses up energy. Lots of energy. With our global teams flying across the world and back, we had to find a way to counteract all that energy use and pay it back to the environment. Stage and Screen’s pathway to net zero includes offsetting our own business travel, including flights and accommodation.

Closer to home, we’re reducing waste, emissions and energy consumption in our offices and through our suppliers to support a brighter future for all.

“We will leverage our platforms, people and partnerships to facilitate informed choices, helping customers reduce their impact and ensuring our actions benefit our people, destinations and communities”, said Michelle Degenhardt, Global Sustainability Officer for Flight Centre Travel Group.

Caring for the people who care for you

People are at the heart of everything we do at Stage and Screen. The importance of our people is reflected in our parent company, Flight Centre Travel Group's number one philosophy, which reads:

“Our company is our people. We care for our colleagues’ health and wellbeing, their personal and professional development and their financial security. We believe that work should be challenging and fun for everyone and through work we contribute to our community.”

We’re constantly pushing to improve the welfare and wellbeing of our people and the communities in which they exist. This starts with proudly supporting diversity and equal opportunities within our teams.

Giving back through Flight Centre Foundation

Handing out cheques and calling it a day? That isn’t our style.

We’re all about giving real value, time, effort, and expertise to truly make a difference.

Flight Centre Foundation is our way of giving back to the amazing communities who let us work, travel, and live alongside them. Over the years, our people have provided solar energy to lightless communities, funded charity drives in natural disasters, and are always on the lookout for projects and charities that will help our global community thrive.

More than AU$10.5m and our teams’ time and energy has been donated to a range of causes including:

  • Asia Pacific: Meals with Impact, STEPS Pathways College, For Change Co., Zoe Support Australia, Brainwave Bikes
  • Americas: Make-A-Wish, disaster relief funds including Hurricane Dorian, No Hungry Holidays
  • Europe, Middle East & Africa: Adopt a School program (Qhobosheane Primary School, Soweto), Macmillan, The Trussell Trust, coastal clean ups in Sweden and South Africa
