Bat Flip Competition Terms And Conditions

The promoter is Australian OpCo Pty Ltd t/a Stage and Screen Pty Ltd, (ABN 20 003 279 534) trading as Stage and Screen Australia of 275 Grey Street, South Brisbane 4101 QLD, Australia (“Promoter”).

 

The competition commences at 9:00am (AEST) on Thursday 8 January 2025 and closes at 11:59pm (AEST) on Wednesday 14 January 2025 (“Competition Period”).

Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over.

Employees of the Promoter, its related entities, and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.

The winner must be available to attend the Brisbane Heat v Sydney Sixers match on 18 January 2025 at The Gabba, Brisbane. If the winner cannot attend, the prize will be forfeited and a redraw will occur.

To enter, eligible entrants must, during the Competition Period:

  • Complete the entry form via the link provided in the Promoter’s social media posts or website; and
  • Provide all required details as requested.

Only one (1) entry per person is permitted.

Entries must be received by the Promoter during the Promotion Period. Entries which are incomplete, late, incomprehensible or inappropriate will be deemed invalid.

No purchase is required to enter.

There is one (1) prize to be won, consisting of:

  • The opportunity to perform the bat flip on-field prior to the last Brisbane Heat home game of the Men’s BBL 2025 season on 18 January 2025 at The Gabba;
  • Two (2) general admission tickets to the match; and
  • One (1) Brisbane Heat team-autographed cricket ball.

The prize is not redeemable for cash, cannot be transferred, exchanged, or substituted.

  • The winner must comply with all venue, event, broadcast, security, and safety requirements.
  • The bat flip opportunity is subject to approval by relevant event officials and broadcast requirements.
  • The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw or substitute the on-field experience if required due to operational, broadcast, safety, or regulatory reasons.
  • If the on-field experience cannot proceed, the tickets and autographed ball will still be awarded.
  • Any costs associated with travel, accommodation, meals, or incidentals are the responsibility of the winner.

This competition is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner.

All eligible entries will be judged based on the quality, creativity and originality of the response to the competition question.

Judging will take place by 12:00pm (AEST) on Thursday 15 January 2026 at the Promoter’s offices in Queensland.

The entry judged to be the best will be deemed the winner.

The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

The winner will be contacted on Thursday 15 January 2025 by email and/or phone.

The winner’s name may be published on the Promoter’s website and social media channels.

If the winner:

  • cannot be contacted within 24 hours, or
  • is ineligible, or
  • cannot attend the event,

a redraw under the same conditions will occur at the same location on Friday 16 January 2025 by 12:00pm (AEST). The redraw winner must accept the prize within 24 hours

No permit is required for this promotion under current Australian trade promotion regulations, as the prize value does not exceed applicable state thresholds.

This promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with the Big Bash League, Brisbane Heat, Sydney Sixers, Cricket Australia, or The Gabba.

All trademarks and intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners.

By entering this competition, entrants acknowledge and agree that, if selected as the winner, they may be photographed, filmed, or otherwise recorded in connection with the prize and the event.

The winner grants the Promoter and its licensees and assignees a non-exclusive license to exercise all rights in perpetuity throughout the world and irrevocably consents to the Promoter, and its related entities, using their name, image, likeness, voice, and any photographs or recordings for promotional, marketing, publicity, editorial, and internal purposes in any media now known or later developed, without compensation, for an unlimited period, unless prohibited by law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter excludes all liability for any loss, damage, or injury suffered or sustained in connection with participation in the competition or use of the prize.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits any consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law.

By entering, entrants consent to the Promoter collecting and using their personal information for the purpose of conducting this competition and in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, available at www.stageandscreen.travel.

Entrants agree that the Promoter may use their personal information for marketing purposes.

Any personal information held by the Promoter and/or the Promoter in respect of any competition will be held on record for a reasonable period to fulfil the purpose for which such personal information was collected. If an entrant gives the Promoter permission to pass on their personal information to a third party then this shall no longer be the responsibility of the Promoter and shall be subject to the privacy policy of that third party.

The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the competition if circumstances arise outside its reasonable control.
