It was a summer of huge success for the men’s and women’s cricket teams with both squads comprehensively winning The Ashes against The Old Enemy, but not seen from the outside was the sheer magnitude of the travel plans behind the scenes, a feat that was a victory in itself.
QRL Awards: Stage and Screen presents prestigious Civoniceva Medal
26 September 2022 – Stage and Screen, the iconic entertainment travel company that is essential to delivering the most incredible experiences to audiences in Australia and across the globe, has presented the prestigious Civoniceva Medal at the 2022 QRL (Queensland Rugby League) Awards.
Stage and Screen General Manager Adam Moon had the pleasure of presenting Taine Tuaupiki with the medal, alongside Mr Civoniceva himself, an honour bestowed for best and fairest in the Hostplus Cup.
“We have been entrusted as the QRL’s travel partner for more than a decade and it was my absolute privilege and pleasure to have presented the prestigious Civoniceva Medal to Taine Tuaupiki – he was a deserved winner,” Mr Moon said.
“After the trials and tribulations of delivering the most challenging QRL season in terms of travel last year because of the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s been wonderful to return to some form of normality – we’re again delighted to have been able to facilitate travel up and down the state for the QRL.
“We pride ourselves on being able to overcome any hurdle. There’s no doubt planning to win starts long before you take to the field and the same can be said of successful trips across a season.
“I must pay tribute to the wider team that again delivered expertise above and beyond to ensure the season ran smoothly, while still navigating residual travel challenges. We’re really looking forward to continuing the already excellent partnership we have with the QRL.”
QRL CEO Rohan Sawyer hailed the strong 11-year relationship between the governing body and the iconic entertainment travel company.
“Stage and Screen plays a pivotal role in the week to week running of our competitions,” Mr Sawyer said.
“Without the reliability and assurance of service from our valued travel partner, QRL state-wide competition fixtures wouldn’t run as smoothly.
“Queensland is obviously a big state, and there is significant travel required with all of our six competitions, not to mention the logistics involved with our premier men’s and women’s Queensland Maroons teams, and we trust Stage and Screen to support and guide us with this.”
